Privacy Policy
Effective May 9, 2026
RankIt (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a collaborative ranking app that lets groups score and compare anything. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and profile picture, provided by Google when you sign in with Google OAuth.
- Content you create — lists you create, items you add to lists, scores you submit, and any notes or descriptions you provide.
- Usage data — basic information about how you interact with the app (pages visited, actions taken) used to improve the service.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To display your scores and rankings to members of your lists
- To calculate aggregate rankings across all list members
- To send you transactional emails related to your account (e.g. invitations)
- To diagnose bugs and improve the service
We do not sell your data, use it to serve you advertisements, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third-party services
RankIt relies on the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
- Google OAuth — used for sign-in. Google's privacy policy governs data shared during the sign-in flow.
- Google Places API — used to look up and display place information. Searches you perform may be sent to Google.
Data retention
We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and content will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. You may also contact us to request a copy of the data we hold about you or to ask questions about how your data is used.
